National programme for the energy management and the use of renewable sources of energy for 2006 - 2009

The conceptual document adopted by the government which was prepared in compliance with the requirements of the State Energy Concept and the State Environmental Policy. It sets out the government priorities and targets in the area of energy management.
Ilustrační fotoIt is a framework document approved by the Government of the Czech Republic once in four years under Act No. 406/2000 Coll. on energy management [pdf, 43 kB] - It is a document prepared jointly by the Minister of Industry and Trade and the Minister of the Environment.
- It has been prepared in compliance with the requirements of the State Energy Policy (see the folder National Policies) and the State Environmental Policy of the Czech Republic for 2004 — 2010.
- It is implemented by 11 sectors,
- It is the basis for annual implementation State programmes in support of energy savings and the use of renewable sources of energy.
Priorities of the National Programme:
- Maximization of energy effectiveness and electricity effectiveness and the use of energy savings
- Higher use of renewable and secondary energy sources.
- Higher use of alternative fuel in transport.
Targets of the National Programme:
- Increase of energy effectiveness by 2.6% per year and energy savings by some 11 PJ per year.
- Contribution to the meeting of targets in the area of use of renewable sources of energy and biofuel in transport.
Expenditure of the National Programme:
Total public expenditure in the period 2006 — 2009 will amount to some CZK 8 billion.
