Basic personal data of Vice - Ministers
Mr. Václav PetříčekMr. Václav Petříček born 13th May 1944 is married and has a daughter and a son. He completed his schooling at the College of Engineering in Chrudim in 1962 and graduated from Brno Technical University in 1967. He furthered his study of mathematics at J.E. Purkyně University in Brno. In 1990 he defended his dissertation at the Institute of Economics — the Czech Academy of Sciences. In 2004 he became a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of International Relations at the University of Economics in Prague. He began his career in 1967 at Rubena Náchod, worked briefly for the Federation of Youth (1971—72) and in 1972 entered the State Planning Commission. From 1990 to 1992 he worked for the Federal Ministry of Economy. From 22th July 1992 he has held the position of Deputy Minister and Chief Officer in the Ministry.
Ing. Tomáš Hüner Mr. Tomáš Hüner studied at the Faculty of Thermal Machines and Equipment at the Technical University in Brno. From 1984 to 1994 he worked at the power station Dětmarovice and by the end of his time there he held the position of assistant director for generation. From 1994 to 2002 he managed the company Severomoravská energetika, a.s. in the position of chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors. In 2002 he became a consultant for the company AP&P, which, amongst other things, carried out the restructuring of the joint—stock company Slovenské elektrárne. Since 2004 Tomáš Hüner has held the post of country manager of the company ČEZ in Bulgaria. From 14th September 2006 he has held the position of the Vice—Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and he manages the Section of Industry and Energy Sector.
Mr. Martin TlapaMr. Martin Tlapa, born 28th September 1964 is married and has two sons. He completed his schooling at the College of Economics in Prague in 1984. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague in 1987 and completed his MBA study in the Czech Technical University in Prague and the Hallam University in Sheffield in 2002. He began his career at the Institute of External Economic Relations in 1987, he worked for the Federal Ministry of Foreign Trade from 1991 to 1992. He had been the Trade and Economic Secretary of the Czech Embassy in Canada till 1996 and was General Director of the CzechTrade agency till 2004. From 1th Juni 2004 he has held the position of the Vice—Minister of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Mr. Tlapa manages the Section of European Union and the Section of Trade.
Mr. Luboš Vaněk, born 25th March 1964, is married and has two daughters and a son. In 1982 he passed the secondary school at Sokolov, in 1988 he graduated from the Charles University in Prague. In the nineties he was active at the stock market in Banking and Investment Fund and since 1997 in a supervision body of the Ministry of Finance - The Securities Office and afterwards in the Securities Exchange Commission as the Head of Securities Traders and Brokers Office. He himself owns a broker license. In the years 1999 to 2002 he was active as the Director of the Chair Office at the National Property Fund. Since 2003 he worked as a Senior Director at the Czech Social Security Administration, responsible for processionary proceedings implementation concerning enterprices as well as for economic processes. On 1th February 2006 he was appointed to the function of Deputy Director General and since 1th August 2006 he was authorised with the management of the Czech Social Security Administration. From 1th March 2007 he has held the position of the Vice—Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
