The Consumer Law Enforcement Forum Project

The Consumer Law Enforcement Forum (CLEF) occupied with project on different enforcement means in every Member State and enforcement activities of consumer organisations in different areas of consumer law.
The result of CLEF Project is material "Guidelines for Consumer Organisations on Enforcement and Collective redress", see the attachment.
These guidelines consist of:

The General Guidelines, which lay down recommendations for consumer disputes (with regard to practical issues consumer organisations need to consider when embarking on collective litigation and/or when dealing with cross—border issues).

Practical tools to help consumer organisations in preparing collective redress litigation.

Specific guidelines for collective actions in competition, unfair commercial practices, contract law and tort law, and financial services.
These guidelines were worked out in participation not only of the CLEF management, which is composed by workers of the European Consumer Organisation (BEUC), but as well of sixteen consumer organisations from various Member States, among them also Sdružení obrany spotřebitelů (SOS).
