The website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade came into operation in January 2006 with a maximum emphasis on transparency, usability and accessibility in terms of its functionality and content.

The MIT website is especially careful regarding the accessibility of its content for handicapped users and complies with the Czech web accessibility guidelines according to the methodology of the Ministry of Informatics. The site has been created using the modern XHTML 1.0 Strict specification and is syntactically and semantically correct.

The graphical appearance of the site exclusively uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Text sizes have been defined in relative sizes and so can easily be increased and decreased through the browser.
