How does SOLVIT work
What is SOLVIT?
SOLVIT is an on-line problem solving network in which EU Member States work together to solve without legal proceedings problems caused by misapplication of Internal Market rules by public authorities.
Where can SOLVIT help?
SOLVIT deals with cross-border problems between a business or a citizen on the one hand and a national public authority on the other, where there is possible misapplication of EU law.

Regional campaign for system SOLVIT
During September and October, the citizens of nine Czech towns will have the chance to get better acquainted with the SOLVIT system. In these towns, information stands will be located where those interested can find out more about the European Union and discuss their concrete problems with authorities in other EU member states free of charge.
The Czech SOLVIT centre has already helped 144 businessmen and citizens
In July it will have been five years since the establishment of the SOLVIT system which helps businessmen and citizens free of charge to solve their problems with EU member states offices.
European Commission appreciates the results of the Czech SOLVIT centre
SOLVIT network provides solutions to the concrete problems people experience when national administrations apply EU law incorrectly. According to the Annual SOLVIT Report published on 7 May 2007, the Czech SOLVIT centre belongs to the most active centres in the EU.
European Commission published Report on functioning of SOLVIT in 2005.
SOLVIT offers fast and effective alternative approach to solving problems concerning misapplication of EC law. The Report shows that more and more citizens and businesses are turning to SOLVIT with their problems.
